I'm not sure if this counts as a garden project but I am in the process of knocking down a former servants laundry,as I can't afford any servants at present!!!!!! I am restyling it as a garden room with a panoramic floor to ceiling window so that I can have an uninterrupted view of the back garden. 8-) ;)

Sounds cool, I love re-purposed old buildings, love to see pictures when you are ready.

Seems having servants was more common than not back awhile, our house is hardly huge yet I found all the wires , pivots and pulleys of a servant bell call system up in the roof space

We had that too, and our house was only built in 1960.

But I'm worried that if the servants laundry is knocked down the Robots will have nowhere to chill in 5 years' time ...

In 5 years time Robots should be water proof and can be kept in a hidden corner of the garden, then summoned when required. :lol: ;) Or if you had an impressive looking one it could double as a garden sculpture, especially if fitted with the optional water pump as it could then double up as a fountain. :idea: :roll:

Don't know about Jas's concept but I have always fancied one of them there "Electric Sheep" to keep the grass nibbled short and allow more sitting with a glass time :)

Friend of mine have a robot mower. Large lawn, holiday property where they are only present for about 50% of the time, and weeks when they are not there. He speaks very highly of it, but yeah it was expensive, and if it would genuinely mean you didn't need a ride-on mini-tractor-mower, and didn't spend all those hours spent sitting on it, its probably not excessively expensive.

Quiet too, with an electric mower, so noty going to spoil your sunshine-nap on a lounger whilst it trundles around you :)

I don't have a ride-on hence the attraction! (nothing against them they just don't fit in through my narrow gateways)
