Typical

I had this yucca for a while, it was a rescue. Never really did much, so when we built he garden at work, I donated it to the gravel bed. Today not only does it look a lot more healthy but is flowering.

Just typical isn't it, none of mine are going to flower this year, in fact I have yet to manage to get one to flower in my own garden. Yet those I plant else where flower away.

I know the feeling. The Colocasia fontanesii that I have planted down at the Mencap garden have grown huge leaves, far better than any of my plants at home. I can only put it down to the fact that they like growing in warm soil, the metal (filing cabinet) planters get quite warm in the sun and yet don't seem to dry out too quickly.

You'll have to get some filing cabinets for your garden next year.

I must admit I donated a lot of plants to the garden as I didn't have space for them and also I thought I would use it for propping stuff. I have already started to take offsets off to bring back to replace plants I left at the last garden.
