Sadly pilosa has no scent, like the north american honeysuckles its pollinated by humming birds not moths

Charlie, I have Lonicera pilosa F&M 256 and it has been hardy over two winters here, if a little neglected in a pot while I've been awaiting finding a suitable spot for it.

Excellant! thanks Conrad, I will see if I can't get some cuttings going then try it next year on a wall.

Not sure what form I have, it came from Mark Fillan

Charlie, I could be wrong, as I often am! But I think the F in F&M 256 refers to Mark Fillan with the M being Nick Macer, so I'd assume that yours and mine are the same clone.

I can see the logic but I think the F&M is F&M Fernandez & Mendoza, Mexico

But as Mark used to do much of Nick's propagating its still likely we have the same clone.

Ah hah, well in that case isn't it lucky for me that I added the disclaimer at the start, otherwise I'd just look silly now.
