After spending the weekend up at Lake Tahoe and enjoying some perfect sunny days hiking in the mountains, it was nice to get home and see so much in full bloom.
Here’s some photos of plants currently blooming in mid-September.
Summer has decided to arrive here now as well- I wont put pictures up though as I cant compete with your display David!
We never got up to lake Tahoe, each time we have been to the area the road has been closed due to snow!! not having proper mountains in our part of the UK it comes as a surprise that it can be spring/summer down at the coast but winter up in the mountains
Very nice. I have some of those plants including the A.fasciata brom. The surprise for me plantwise this summer was that my Pachypodium lamerei started to bloom in May and is still in bloom now. It never took a rest just nonstop.
After my large Podocarpus were cut far, far, back the Monstera responded with faster growth and the largest leaves I have ever seen it produce. If I had fertilized it this year as I do most years who knows how much larger they could be? Over 3' ? Maybe.
