I certainly will Paul, they tend not to reserve plants but Growild do have random stock updates through the summer. Timing a search is very hit and miss.

Is rothii amongst the Impatiens that fires seed all over the garden?
I have just been around deadheading my own plant (it is still flowering but not as prolifically) as it appears to have seedheads fully armed and ready to shoot.

Thank you Chad, a relief to know it wont be adding to the weeding problems next year. I am currently pulling up Begonia grandis from all over the place, not difficult to do, but I never thought I would reach the point of filling the compost bin with Begonias. :shock:

I have grown I. stenantha (both purple and green foliage forms) for years and mostly I wonder why I bother. It has tiny (almost to the point of insignificant) scruffy flowers and is normally a plant I can happily ignore in a damp dark corner.
I moved it at the end of last year to a slightly sunnier spot and the green form has taken off. It is now around 1m x1m and has been covered with the tiny yellow flowers for months. It looks good, and that is not a sentence I thought I would ever use referring to stenantha :lol:
The purple form however, although happier this year in the damp conditions, was still late to appear is half the size of the green one and first to wilt if the temperatures lifted.

I also grow the tall form of arguta which I allow to scramble through shrubs and other herbaceous stuff, and it has grown brilliantly this year, but alba has disappeared totally.

How have your Impatiens performed this year?

Happy to report I. pritzelii 'Hubei Red ' has made it through the wettest winter for years, and is growing away nicely.
The early foliage is a beautiful deep beetroot red, however it does fade a little later in the season.
I must say it isn't yet as vigorous as pritzelii 'Sichuan Gold '.
