Sorry, been very busy and only just got around to posing the question.

The answer (albeit phrased as "Looks like") was Sequoiadendron giganteum 'Pendulum'. Please let me know if you find an affordable source

The first picture I thought "why bother", but the second as a group of three looks rather good ! :)

K many thanks for your sterling efforts in Identifying the evergreen, personally I think they have a real presences, especially the one that looks like a giant man eating insect with slit eyes :lol:. We appear to have moved a long way from Maples. ;)

Edit, I've just seen the size they grow to! I don't think I shall be getting one due to lack of space, they are not inexpensive either. :shock: :roll:
