Ok I know its a rose but they are not that easy in a cool climate!

Yup - that Abutilon is outstanding!

All the Trachelospermum from around the garden are in flower but the form Trachelospermum jasminoides 'Majus' is the best here

Some days I love Canna Panache, other days it is just too damned pink for me. And that slugs is a meal for one :lol:

Datura wrightii has now proven itself to be hardy down to minus eight...............

Impatiens balfourii is now an established self seeder...............

Bomarea edulis is really reaching for the sky now that it has established itself after being planted out last year...............

Most flowers on my Ismene x festalis have been damaged as bud by slugs or water collecting in them during cool periods. Finally though I have some good blooms............

Its taken ages but the following three plants are finally having a good year, two of them for the first time, but in the case of the Hoheria its taken it this long to get back to pre 2009 condition (I will be moaning its too big by next year!)

Not had that great of summer. Early part we had a lot of NW winds and being only 5 miles from the NE coast of Norfolk is never that warm. Yesterday we managed 14.5c!. Some of the Assam Orange have already gone over but plenty more buds to come. H. D Stephen and Sorung now started flowering as well. Overall I would say the gingers are 1-2 weeks behind normal for this part of the world.

Nice today though!
