Wercklea ferox

Has any one grown Wercklea ferox?

I saw seed this year and one germinated. The largest leaf is now 30cm across.

I have never grown it but I am pretty sure I have seen one on Madeira, but that was quite a gaunt trunk with some leaves and flowers near the top. Doesn't help much I am afraid as it was down in Funchal which is a lot warmer than up in the hills. Be an interesting thing if it flowers quickly from seed - no doubt you will let us know :)
