Lost label plant ID

Post by charlie »

I know its a Lippia (well it was!) and I think the name ended in "folia" but I have lost the label

Can anyone help my brain out and put a name to it?

Big Genera to consider. Lippia itself has about 15 xxxxfolia left in it. The elegance of the floral spike suggests it may be one that got moved to Aloysia though. A.chamaedryfolia if it has to end in 'folia'.

What does it smell of? Almonds? if so look at Aloysia virgata.

Any other clues? Provanance or any remebered folk law with it?

Chad.

I was at Cross Common today and they have it for sale as Aloysia chamaedrifolia.

On getting home I find it is on their web/amazon site too!
