What are those lollipopped trees in the first photo, Stan? They look suspiciously like Ficus microcarpa hillii....if they are, no-one ever thinks to do that to them here!

I think Michael they are F. nitida..but your ID is as good a guess as mine. I remember when they were planted 30+ years ago...sticks!

If they're Hill's, I've never seen anyone bother to do that with them here. I'll try and find a photo of a big one here that's been left to its own devices.
