Any easier than the last one? Looks like south Devon coast is getting it.

I've not had it too bad a lot of rain and very windy, but no damage.
Further along the coast Dawlish and Teignmouth have taken a battering with high seas damaging the sea wall at Dawlish again shutting the railway line there.

No damages at home this time but several trees down in the village, presumably weakened by the last one as it wasnt too horrendous yesterday and last night!

The next storm Chandra is due this evening torrential rain and strong winds from this evening until tomorrow afternoon.

Got my fingers crossed my roof patch holds! You will not be surprised to hear that I am not having a lot of luck getting hold of a roofer :)

Hope your roof has held out, Charlie. Roofers, tree surgeons and fencing companies are in short supply right now!

We've had some significant rainfall here in East Devon. Currently only one route is passable in and out of Exmouth with other roads flooded. The tide is coming in at the moment which means the River Exe and its tributaries are starting to back up a bit which will likely make it worse for the next few hours. I can't get to my polytunnel until later this afternoon, but I would expect standing water inside it - annoying but not distasterous.

We were fortunate in that the worst of Storm Goretti passed us by here, but Storm Ingrid has caused significant coastal disruption and damage and it was a very wild night. This latest weather system has added a load of rain onto saturated ground. Heavy clay soil and lots of water equates to lots of mud!

I think 2014 was the last time we had a succession of damaging storms like this. Roll on spring...
