PUSHING THE BORDERS

Sharing some older photos of a favorite garden I designed, where I got to play architect with the cantilevered balcony and terrace/stairs as well as enclosing privacy walls. The garden is here in the nearby Berkeley hills neighborhood of Thousand Oaks.

Is that a brahea 'super silver' I spy?

No, it’s a nice silver form of
Brahea ‘Clara’. Notice the weeping bicostate leaf form, typical of ‘Clara’, not the stiff foliage of Brahea ‘Super Silver’.

I must keep my eye out for one here - doubt it'll be easy to find one, but...

I’ve heard of people planting this in Spain, so there must be European growers.
