These baby invitro Lapageria were a present from a contact in Chile in return for being an import Guinee Pig!

Once rinsed off I was pleasantly surprised at how well they looked, really didn't seem to have noticed the 7 days in the dark

Very neat!

I discovered some time ago that the bottom half of 1L pop bottles cut down just before they start to taper at the neck make excellent covers for 9cm pots, they fit quite snuggly.
2L pop bottles also work well for 10cm (Sankey) pots.
I'm also armed with a good excuse for having another G&T :)

Did the gel stay in the bottom of the pots despite the pack having been at odd angles?

Yes its got a margin around the leaf, not sure I like it but its definitely different, pink flowers apparently. one of 3 batches the other two are normal leaves one white and one pink

Yes the amount of movement in the pots was quite small, but both the plants and gel were so light that even when upside down no damage occurred, I was actually quite impressed, it was also a lot easier to wash off than I remembered from my previous attempt after Ros Smith did some for me, plants were also a lot further ahead which I hope bodes well for the weaning/hardening off part

A couple of pictures today a month or so on, starting to try and harden them up now so I can get sticks in
