May seem an odd pairing but neither of any of these have come up yet.
Anybody elses got any life in them?

I have rummaged the Arisaemia pots and the bulbs are in ther, look healthy just no movement yet... am I impatient or are they just a bit late?

I thought I'd buy some Hostas yet expected to see them in B & Qs but there were none.

HI Steph. I only have the ones in the work garden now and they are very ate, but the first of both are up now. The arisaemia is out the leaves and flower were just unfurling on Friday. The hostas are showing but not just green tips nothing else.

Given that this garden is a courtyard in central london where the tree ferns stay evergreen, the are really late.

My Hostas are all emerging but not far enough yet to open their leaves.

As far as my Arisaema go, they are shooting but not yet through the soil (I had to have a rummage in case they were goners). But my Dracunculus stands about a metre tall now!

Hostas are just breaking the surface here, but Arisaema consanguineum (green form) is still sitting tight. I gently pushed a finger down today and the bud remains firm, but on the small side. Last year it did not get above the soil until mid June so I'm not expecting any better this year. Once it does appear, growth rockets away so nothing is lost.

Hostas are all up here, some starting to unfurl.

I think arisaemas vary depending on species. I have one fully up. Arisaema triphyllum is always an early one for me and starting to form a clump now. The others are all a bit later to rise. Also I guess it can be down to soil temp. I think triphyllum is the only one where the soil is in full sun until the paulownia and Catalpa leaf-up. The others are in shaded soil which will still be cool.
