HTUK Forum - Refugees ?

Post by charlie »

Does anyone think we should be proactively contacting people - (especially those that are actually signed up here but have never logged in) and say we are open for business ? Probable best if you PM me rather than post views.

I am not sure what the problem is but I suspect they may have tried to do an upgrade, which we are due but I am operating on a "If it aint broke don't fix it" policy as I know I don't know what I am doing, although our hosting provider is supposed to do automatic back ups.

Anyway I think its a shame if some of the regular posters from HTUK were to be lost to forums for ever

Adrien has contacted Kris and said they have lost the archives! They have a backup but Adrien has moved and cant get his hands on it a present ( packed away). So there may be some hope in the future. Personally that wouldn't stop me from contacting people. More power to your elbow Charlie, although HTUK members are a pretty loyal lot.

If you've got registrations I see no difficult with a "Bulk eMail Campaign" :)

Individuals could contact chums known to them ...

Sad for HTUK to have had that disaster ... :(
