NE trade winds! made the mistake of staying on the eastern side of La Palma the first time we went, lovely holiday but too chilly to sit outside, next time lesson learnt we stayed the other side lovely and warm (should say same two weeks!) probably for a summer visit the reverse would be true and the west would be too hot

Yes some neighbours of ours had a house there until a couple of years ago. It is more verdant than the rest of the islands, when we went the hills were covered with mist but I don't know if that is permanent. Plenty of giant dandelions higher up the mountains. Much less commercialised then the rest of the Islands. Totally different feel. Enjoy.

Thanks for the review, Sounds good, we dont mind the occasional walk in mist and drizzle but I do like to be able to sit in the sun as well, hopefully were we are going on the SW of the island will give us some !

You will get plenty of sun near the coast Charlie, but take something warm to wear if you are going into the mountains it can be chilly on the tops.
