I thought I would start a thread for links to other interesting sites / blogs / facebook things. Basically if you read someone online or follow a blog you think others would like and think it would be interesting then post a link here. If there is interest we can look at setting up something over winter.
To start with an agave blog by Greg Starr (who wrote one of the main book son agaves) His latest post is about agave ovatifolia which is a stunning plant and looks even better in the habitat photos he posted. It is suppose to have some hardiness, the problem is so few people have decent sized plants that you would need to plant out and even fewer are willing to risk theirs. Thankfully Mel is test one this year, I am guessing it will have a rain cover, but we should start to get some idea of hardiness. Here is hers.

Ours will be covered for Winter with a purpose made shelter, plus it might get some extra cover if it gets really cold.
Really hope we don't lose it, it won't be easy to replace.
Matt Mattus of Growing With Plants has a particular interest in Chilean and South African plants, although again his interests in general are fairly broad..................
