I came back from California in late 2009 with the seeds of a Passiflora hybrid called 'Mission Delores' this is a P. parritae X P antioquiensis hybrid. parritae is not at all easy but if you check out the web images you will see its a bit of a stunner. I wasn't able to bring back any plants of 'Mission Delores' (also a hansom plant) but it makes masses of fruits so I did come back with seed. This germinated easily but the subsequent seedlings died for past time so in desperation I stuck one in the ground where it proceeded to go mad but not flower. I started asking various plant contacts in California whether anybody else' s seedlings had flowered one person had had one miserable flower but that was it, so I resolved to steal my heart and compost mine but as I arrived to do the deed I noticed it is covered in flower buds :)

Not easy to do pictures as it seems to like to grow sideways through everything else

I like that. Are you saying it's been outside 3-4 years through the dodgy winters? Yes I know a 'dodgy cornish winter' is normally 4 inches more rain than summer but hardyish?

Lovely!

I can barely get my Amethyst to bloom outdoors!

If it has the Tasconia genes in it maybe it's not the best for sunny California?

Very nice. There was a lovely passion flower at Tresco, I will dig out the photo, although stupidly I don' think I have the name (I may have been distracted by the giant agave that was growing next to it  )

Think the tresco one may be slightly different

That's most likely a good form of Passiflora x exoniensis its a hybrid of antioquiensis and mollissima and in its better forms closely resembles antioquiensis
