Have just moved from West Cork to Catalonia, Spain so now have a whole new set of growing challenges. Visited one of our local garden centres the other day and just could not resist this Kalanchoe. Brought lots of Southern Hemisphere potted plants with us but so far it has been too hot and dry to plant them out although I am itching to do so.

The succulents are going to love your climate, but as you say many of your other plants are really going to struggle. It is going to fun as you discover what works in your new home.

Look forward to seeing it all unfold, are you coastal or inland?

We are about 4-5 kilometres from the coast as the grow flies, we can see the sea from the upper terrace. We have a well and solar power. It's all a new challenge.
