Collutea orientalis, the bladder senna, flowers for months, rather straggly and would have been better on a wall for support but always catches peoples eye

Philadelphus madrensis grown from seed collected from Mexico where it grows at altitude also found in Arozona I believe, fantastic scent (if you like bubble gum!)

Ponds can't help looking good, just been watching the grass snake help its self to a fish, went back to get the camera but its long gone! so you will have to make do with pictures of plants.

I like your yellow flowered water lily, what variety is it?

That first Water Lily shot is cracking!

Love the Collutea! Have you grown Sesbania punicea? I have a nice strong seedling coming along, but no idea about how best to care for it.

Andy 'Colonel Welch' the flowers often stand up out of the water and look quite tropical!

When the flowers go over you get left with baby lilies so its quite prolific!

I don't know Sesbania punicea, but I would expect it to be weak rooted as with a lot of pea family relatives so I would stake it or tie it in, I notice it is said to be invasive in the southern states of america, presumably it would appreciate as much summer heat as you can manage.
With Collutea small plants can be detroyed by snails over night so keep your eye on the Sesbania punicea in case its the same!!
Interested to know how you get on, I tried various Caesalpina species but all failed due to cold soil or snail attack

Seems to love the humidity and heat of the greenhouse. The seed came from a contact in Corfu where it seems to do well, but I don't know anyone who's grown it here yet. There must be someone out there...................
