Suddenly feels like Autumn this morning with a grass frost and window condensation for the first time.

Well I didn’t think I’d see the day come when Cornwall gets the first frost before Shropshire!

In the news its all about the coming collapse of the Gulf Stream. Hotter summers with colder winters. How the rains are affected they didn't say.
btw Our cold Alaskan current ? It's not changing.

No frost here yet but snow just a few miles away. Looks set to go below zero over the next few nights and my app forecasts snow here tomorrow. Spent a back breaking day shifting pots to more sheltered areas. As always, just as my tree dahlias are about to flower :( :x

Odd isnt it, we have just got back from a visit to the Cotswolds area (collecting cuttings!) where it was bitter but now back home and its not really cold enough to need the fire on at the moment

Well it certainly fell below freezing here last night and further snow. I’d say about 6 inches on the car! The plus side, given all the dead and collapsed plants I can see from the window, is that it made for a pleasant walk with the dogs. Our beautiful local hill, the Wrekin, often creates odd weather patterns with snow, ice and rain often next to areas with none. Today it looked resplendent with the clear weather. I’m lucky enough to live with this just a street away.

Now to the greenhouse to assess any damage in there!

I concur.

No frost here yet but I don't think I will get away with it tonight
