Have picked and eaten these on Madeira I was determined to give it a go as the shrub seems to grow fine here and flowered every year, so following advice from various sources I bought 2 named fruiting cultivars
Acca sellowiana Triumph 0064 by charliepridham, on Flickr
and
Acca sellowiana Mamouth 0063 by charliepridham, on Flickr
Planted them in the fruit cage against a south wall and sat back awaiting my crop of fruit, however although like the original seedling they flower lots and grow huge they seldom if ever set fruit. So where am I going wrong? I have even tried hand pollinating.
I did once get a small misshapen fruit in November one year but it disappeared before ripening
