A few years back on Madeira we collected some seed off what I thought was Pittosporum coriaceum but I am now pretty sure is P. undulatum. the flowers were wonderfully scented. all the seed germinated easily and I tried one outside under another large Pitto, it was knocked back the first cold night and dead by Christmas. so attempt two was to grow in a pot with a view to it over wintering in the Conservatory, that was a couple of years ago. Anyway while watering just now I noticed that the poor thing has flowered and gone over without us noticing! Next year it can come down the end with the seats.
Has anyone had any luck with the ones I was offloading the last couple of years? I think it may be OK in mild gardens
