Nice. I tried Clivia planted out here but not hardy enough for me.

Not much in the way of flowers here apart from the Camelias I inherited, except for this



I'm not a fan of the 'Dame Edna' type of Gladies but I like this one.

Pleione formosana I forgot existed in same pots from last year complete with old seed pod

Rhododendron Loderi King George coming to it's best at the moment. Each flower, let alone the flower head, is the size of a fist and the scent is intoxicating. Easily my favourite of the Loderi hybrids and possibly my favourite Rhododendron.

Steve your King George is at least a month ahead of ours in Cornwall!

I think my plot is too windy for it, so I'll have to continue to enjoy other people's.

Hard to disagree, that is a lovely example, too. I tied it here but it turned into a husk in no time.

A visit to Leonardslee at Loderi hybrid time was always treat. I've not been since it re-opened so don't know how it might have changed, if at all - anyone visited?

I am green with envy, we always wanted to grow these but they dont like the ground here, too many heavy metals we think :o

Callum where are you located, its obviously milder than my location. (You have not filled in your location) My brahea edulis was starting to turn into a nice big palm. I grew it for years in Hertfordshire until it snuffed it in the December 2022 severe freeze. I now have a small martianus x fortunei in its spot.

Hi John I’m located in Thanet east Kent, the lowest I got last winter was -2, in cold winters probably the lowest we go is -4
How do you fill your location out? Is it on the profile??

You can do it like this:
Go to the "User Control Panel"
Click on "Profile" in the left hand menu
Scroll through and find the "Location" field
:D
