Well having lost many of my succulents to winter cold in the greenhouse I ordered a range of half hardy shrubs to take their place. These I got from Burncoose as all the plants I have had from there, either in person or by post, have been really good. Today they arrived and I have to say that for postage and packaging I was really impressed. Two massive boxes, expertly packed and not a bit of damage … all for £15. However, at the last minute I noticed they were selling B. albiflora. I’m on a waiting list for a plant from another supplier but I shall take myself off that list and I’m glad I will be. This massive plant from Burncoose had to be packed separately and the plant itself only £22.50 which I find astonishingly cheap for a plant this size and one which is comparatively hard to get hold of. I’m most impressed with Burncoose yet again.

Flowers are out, they are just as weird as the rest of it. Start off green as you would expect, then fade to a creamy white, then develop red stripes.
