Post by charlie »

I can no longer hide from the approaching festivities (I am not anti Christmas - I just wish it didnt start in September!)
:D
So hoping you all have a good Christmas and for those of you that I know have been having a rubbish time with health issues that the new year brings better times

Yes, happy Christmas and a happy and healthy new year.
I've had my best present already, a garden that has not yet seen a frost this winter. Not something I've experienced before. :D

Same to you Charlie and everyone else. It's been one the mildest winters so far. Huge savings on the energy bill!

Merry Christmas everyone. Not so merry in the garden, however. I think this is the first year in several decades of growing that I don’t have a single flower in bloom at Christmas, not even in the greenhouse. And to think a couple of years ago at this time I even had Alstroemerias in bloom! We’ve not had it nearly as mild as some but hoping for a mild New Year to burn off the festive excesses in the garden.

Yes, happy holidays to all! I’m spending mine in a 9th floor hospital room with a beautiful view though. I hope to be back gardening again by February, a bit of a forced break in the routine.
