Conservatory repairs (or busy not gardening!)

I had thought of it, polycarb is easier to work with and a lot lighter, but we have found sitting in other peoples conservatories that if its raining or windy polycarb seems a lot noisier, and over time glass is easier to keep clean (although it has the potential to break!)

But in the end Liz wanted glass so glass it will be! I think she sees Polycarb as looking more modern and this is essentially a 1840's structure, even though like Triggers Broom on Only Fools and Horses most of it has been replaced over the years. :)

Fully agree with that. The incredibly loud noise, when raining, in friends' conservatories, stopped me using it for my own.

Woodwork is all but done and at last got to the ordering glass stage, hope to start reassembling the Conservatory soon.

Looking very smart :) Going to be a nice place to sit and enjoy ... maybe no room for that once the plants are in ?!

Finding it all very frustrating, glass was supposed to be here Friday, now coming on Monday just in time for more gales and rain!

Hurrah I have a roof and the windows are in, took me two days for the roof and another full day for the 11 windows but thats the worst of the heavy jobs done now, still loads to do but at least I can do some of it inside in the dry now!

Last pictures for this thread for awhile, its going to take some time to get the decorating and tiling done but at least we can sit in it!
