Exotic Garden Growth "Timelapse"

Post by kGarden »

Whilst waiting for Summer I thought I'd post a reminder of how fast exotics grow :) on the day before annual-planting, the day after, and then 3 months later.

i love time lapse photos. I wont bother posting pictures of an agave garden at the start and end of summer, it can get a bit tedious looking for new leaves that may have grown

Before I developed the succulent obsession I had a topical garden and used to love the way the bananas, cannas and gingers would go from nothing to large plants in one season. Mind you i don't miss the cleaning up in autumn. That is one thing the succulent garden has almost most gardens is that totally lack of change at any point in the year, look out in winter and it looks pretty much identical to looking out in high summer

Wayne has a good little jungle garden, did you end up moving it wayne to use the space for your brugs?

I have a plan!!! I was very lucky to get pure Aurea seeds last year , but these are giant plants, so I plan to use the jungle garden to plant them into the earth. All my canna's,eucomis, etc will get a south facing treat all done, providing we have any sun.

They can skyrocket, produce huge foilage, and hopefully pop out a flower or two. Either way, I'll take top cuttings for next year for a smaller flowering plant.

I did email you Chris ( hotmail) did you ever recieve it??
