Plant Delights list it under its prefered name of Heteropterys glabra as zone 7b hardy in The USA.

The Clerodendrum ugandense is, probably, now Rotheca myricoides subsp. myricoides 'Ugandense', but botanical sources are unclear if 'Ugandense' differs from the unselected species, so it is probably just Rotheca myricoides subsp. myricoides.

My Hedychium maximum took a hit in one of the recent gales and had most of their flower cones bent so far over I don't think they will flower this year.

I think those are;
Podranea ricasoliana and Thunbergia grandiflora.

The only pomeranian that I know is a dog, though it gets a disambiguation page on Wikipedia.

Had one of these aloes in a pot for years but could never get it flower, managed to rehome it last so hopefully it will be happier in penzance than it was here!

Wonderful ideed and yesterday I was, in fact, watching Michael Portillo's hour long episode devoted to this tremendous place. We've been a number of times and even our kids (no longer kids) enjoyed it there.
Charlie's photos, apart from making me envious, reminded me of two plants I first saw and fell in love with on Madeira: Tecoma stans and Duranta erecta. I have since tried them both, several times, lulled into a false sense of security by overly optimistic hardiness information. All failed, sadly. I keep returning to these two thinking that they might just persuade me to be a bit more generous with the heating in the greenhouse!
