Helwingia chinensis

Post by AndyC »

This may be the first time this evergreen shrub has flowered for me or I just haven't noticed them in previous years. They are rather insignificant and also not where you would naturally expect to find them

I've seen flowers growing out of the middle of the leaves on Tolmiea plants and I'm sure I've seen others but it is quite unusual, or is it?

I have never seen or heard of that plant andy. I have seen the funny little flowers on the Ruscus leaves though.

You have actually Mark. Do you remember when a group of us met up at the Bristol botanical gardens and then went on to Pan Global Plants? It was one of the shrubs I bought from Nick on that occasion.
