Just cleared the crown of the Cyathia cooperi from the old fern fronds I had stuffed in there for the winter and its alive and well. I had decided in the interests of my back staying in one piece it was now too big to move in and out so last spring it was planted. I know last winter was not much of a test but even so I am quite pleased with results.
Because I hadn't really expected it to survive I had collected a couple more for replacements on last years Madeira break, now I have to think what to do with them!
Never realised that snails pined for the fjords ... I wish mine would get on with turning that dream into a reality ... but if they are expecting some help its a heck of a lob with a spade ...

You're closer than I am, I have to throw them to Ramsgate where they can then catch a ferry.....are you using a girly spade? ;)
